LOL, that's my thread.
I was getting excited that a thread post on TCL had gone so long without anyone being negative or critical.
Then post #25 happened.
SO CLOSE.

Whatever you got leaking from these cabinets probably isn't supposed to be going down that drain into what will eventually be your drinking water?

is it me, or do those rotors look decidedly small for what we know the car to be?
or am i just jaded by the way too big rotors and look at me painted calipers that have become the norm these days?

I have always wondered why the Saleen S7 road car didn't utilize a similar intake method as this, while the race car did. For instance, they both feature a roof air scoop.

Maybe optimizing for top end power in the race car vs. midrange grunt in the street car? Or could just be for rear visibility.

Possibly. Personally, I prefer the race car's setup.

I think you missed my point... I do happen to know off hand the car is 2400lbs.. It doesn't need big rotors

These days it would have bigger rotors despite the lilliputian weight of the car. Early 90s brakes were not seen as being as important as they are today (e.g., F40 has pretty terrible brakes).
These days brakes are much bigger, and this is further amplified by the switch to carbon ceramics which utilize a larger disc compared to steel for the same braking force. Without googling it, I would imagine that the akebono brakes on the P1 are probably larger than the actual wheels on the F1.
